you don’t have to question how He feels about you. you don’t have to question who you are.
you don’t have to keep settling for cheap counterfeits - you have been given a royal inheritance.
& Advent? it’s where it all starts.
I’ll never forget Advent 7 years ago - I was almost positive I was dating my future husband and then things started to fall apart. Fast. The butterflies turned to nausea as I experienced what I thought was God’s anointing on my life pierce my heart. It was a disaster. Or at least, it looked that way -
but now, I see God’s hand present in every moment. I see how He was a constant, steady Father, unthreatened by my absolute anguish, & yet He chose to be undone with me.
Whether Advent finds you in complete devastation or stillness or joy - God wants you to experience His hand in the story He’s been writing for you.
He wants you to engage with the waiting as gift, even as you bring your full, emotionally honest self to Him.
He wants to free you from choose cheap counterfeits to cope, to experience the abundance of your royal inheritance.
And if God feels like someone distant, hard to relate to - He wants to expose the wounds that cause your heart to feel that way and love them into healing.
advent is the time for the messy ones. the ones in unfinished seasons. the ones waiting. the ones confused. the ones who want more.
& you’re not meant to do it alone.
